Turquoise Vinyl Flooring from the XL PU range combines high performance with optimum style and enables the transformation of any commercial environment through the selection of vivid colours. XL PU features a polyurethane surface treatment which provides an excellent foundation for an easy, ongoing maintenance regime.

Overview

Polyflor Homogeneous ranges demonstrate outstanding durability and abrasion resistance. XL PU achieves the excellent abrasion wear rating Group M (EN 660 Part 2).

Following an individual assessment from BRE Global, XL PU achieves an A+ rating in major sectors such as health, education and retail (ENP472).

XL PU is 100% recyclable and contains 25% recycled material. Ideally suited for heavy traffic areas, XL PU is recommended for public, institutional and commercial buildings where ease of maintenance and long life under heavy traffic are required, eg hospitals, schools, laboratories and offices.

BoQ Specification

Supply and install 2.00mm x 2.00m Polyflor XL PU homogeneous monolayer vinyl sheeting with sacrificial PU surface treatment, manufactured in accordance with ISO 10581 (EN 649) and installed with Polyflor recommended adhesive which has been spread using an A2 notched trowel on a previously prepared Class 1 subfloor in accordance with SANS 10070, using a Polyflor recommended self-leveller and moisture barrier when required, including all cutting and waste, rolling the installed sheeting in both directions with a 68kg three-sectional roller immediately after it has been laid into the adhesive, joints must be butted, U-shape grooved and heat welded using Polyflor’s matching welding rod ensuring that the welding rod bonds to more than 2/3rds of the sheet in thickness, available from Polyflor (011) 609 3500.

Comprehensive Specification

Supply and install XL PU Group M flexible PVC sheet flooring in 1.5mm and 2.0mm, homogeneous and monolayer in construction, the flooring material shall conform fully with the requirements of EN 649/EN ISO 10581, in accordance with EN 649, the in-use classification must be at least 23/34/43, as defined in EN 685/EN ISO 10874, i.e., domestic areas with intense use; commercial areas with very heavy use; and light industrial areas with heavy use for the 2.0mm gauge. The in-use classification for the 1.5mm product must be at least 23/32/41, as defined in EN 685, in respect of flame spread, the flooring shall have been fully tested to EN 13501-1 and certified as having Class Bfl-S1, the flooring shall have been fully tested to ASTM E648 and certified as having passed with a Class 1 rating, making it suitable in institutional, commercial and public buildings, the product must have been fully tested for abrasion resistance to the Frick Taber test EN 660-2 and be in abrasion group M, as defined in EN 649, with regard to EN 13893 for slip resistance, the flooring shall be classified DS, making it suitable for use in areas which are predominantly dry, but with occasional spillage, with regards to EN ISO 10581 the product shall be classified Type II, this product does not accumulate static charges above 2kV and is classified as ‘antistatic’ when tested to EN 1815, for specialist applications where there is a requirement to dissipate the electrostatic charge, see the Polyflor ESD product ranges, the flooring must be available in 2.0 metre width, to minimise the number of joints, in respect of light fastness, the flooring shall have been fully tested to ISO 105-B02 Method 3 and obtain ≥6
