Silentflor’s polyurethane reinforcement (PUR) supports a low maintenance cleaning regime that is both environmentally friendly and cost effective. The collection corresponds to the emission class A+ for volatile organic compounds (VOC), the highest classification achievable, and the VOC emissions measured are below quantifiable levels when tested to AgBB.

Silentflor is 100% recyclable and achieves a BRE Global Environmental A+ rating in major use area such as education and healthcare. An EN 15804 Environmental Product Declaration is also available. Silentflor also achieves Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold status, MI and FloorScore certification.

Supply and install Silentflor flexible PVC sheet flooring in 3.7mm thickness heterogeneous in construction with a 0.65mmclear PVC wear layer flooring shall incorporate a specially formulated polyurethane reinforcement, to significantly reduce maintenance costs, in accordance with EN ISO 10874/EN 685 and installed with a Polyflor recommended adhesive which has been spread using an A2 notched trowel on a previously prepared Class 1 subfloor in accordance with SANS 10070, using a Polyflor recommended self-leveller and moisture barrier when required, including all site formed skirtings(to architect’s specifications) installed with PC20 Cove Former and CS48 Capping Strip, including cutting and waste, rolling the installed sheeting in both directions with a 68kg three-sectional roller immediately after it has been laid into the adhesive, joints must be butted, U-shape grooved and heat welded using Polyflor’s matching welding rod ensuring that the welding rod bonds to more than 2/3rds of the sheet in thickness, available from Polyflor (011) 609 3500.

Comprehensive Specification

Supply and install Silentflor flexible PVC sheet flooring in 3.7mm thickness heterogeneous in construction with a 0.65mmclear PVC wear layer flooring shall incorporate a specially formulated polyurethane reinforcement, to significantly reduce maintenance costs, in accordance with EN ISO 10874/EN 685, the in-use classification must be at least 23,34,42 (0.65mm wear layer) as described in EN ISO 10874/EN 685: i.e. domestic areas with intense use; commercial areas with very heavy traffic; and general light industrial areas, tested to EN ISO 10140-3/EN ISO 140-8, the product should achieve an impact sound reduction of 19dB, regarding the EN 13893 test for slip resistance, the flooring shall be classified DS, making it suitable for use in areas which are predominantly dry, but with occasional wet spillage. When tested to DIN 51130, the flooring shall be classified as R10, in respect of flame spread, the flooring shall have been fully tested to EN 13501-1 and certified as having Class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1 ≥8kW/m2 and the mandatory requirement of EN ISO 11925-2 pass, tested to EN 423 (ASTM F 1303-99), the flooring should achieve excellent chemical resistance, in respect of light fastness, the flooring shall have been fully tested to EN 20105-B02 Method 3 as having a pass to ≥6, the product must have been fully tested for abrasion resistance and meet the requirements of abrasion Group T, as defined in EN 651, in respect of residual indentation, the flooring shall have been fully tested to EN 433 as having a pass to <0.2mm, the flooring must be available in 2.01 metre width, including a 0.01 metre selvage for on-site trimming, to minimise the number of joints, this product does not accumulate static charges above 2kV and is classified as ‘antistatic’ when tested to EN 1815
